Raymax 'Revival': Hortilux now also offers light measurements for LED

Do you remember Raymax? The horticultural entrepreneur who has been around for a while probably still does: it was the sister company of Hortilux, known for its accurate light measurements and service for HPS installations. The activities have now been fully integrated within Hortilux, but the expertise and the memory of the solid approach have remained.
Traditionally, the end of the lighting season is the time to measure and review the performance of the lighting installation. Last year, we already informed you that we had stopped HPS measurements, in order to fully focus on offering specialized LED light measurements. And now the time has come: Hortilux is going back to those familiar Raymax days, with professional light measurements for your LED fixtures!
In the dynamic world of LED lighting, impressive specifications are often mentioned about light output, efficiency (efficacy) and more. Developments are moving fast and the subject matter is complex. To ensure that we deliver LED luminaires that meet those promised specs (or often even exceed them), measuring is a priority for us. That is why we have recently invested a lot in good measuring facilities for our new NXTLED luminaires. However, our capacity for measurements is greater than necessary for ourselves and we notice that there is a lot of demand for measurements from the market. It may be a cliché, but measuring is knowing!
At Hortilux we have advanced measuring instruments, specially equipped and modified to perform highly accurate measurements of LED fixtures. We can measure any type/brand of LED fixture and with this state-of-the-art technology we can objectively determine the current performance of your installation.
How does it work? For a reliable comparison, we ask you to send us three identical luminaires from your existing installation. If you have multiple locations or different installations that you want to have measured, you send three luminaires per location/installation. Our experts then perform precise measurements in our measuring facilities.
For an investment of only €750 (per three fixtures) you will receive an extensive report with detailed insights into, among other things:
- The actual light output (μmol)
- The efficiency (μmol per Joule)
- The spectrum/light recipe
- The power consumption (Watt)
- And other relevant parameters
With this report in hand, you have concrete data to verify the performance (including in terms of LB standard and spectrum maintenance) of your LED installation.
